Proposed Orders

Attorneys and self-represented individuals must submit a proposed order to the court through the Lake County Circuit Clerk's Online Portal.


Submitting a Proposed Order to the Court

To submit a proposed order, follow these steps:

  1. Draft and Save: First, draft your order and save it as a PDF on your device. (Fillable PDFs for available orders can be found through the Court Forms link located at the bottom of this page).

  2. Access the Portal: Upload the order through the online portal.

Important Notes:

  • Attorneys may submit proposed orders for any unrestricted case (i.e., not impounded, sealed, or expunged).

  • To upload:

    • Search for the case in the portal.

    • Navigate to the “Documents Filed” tab.

    • Click “Add Proposed Order” and upload your PDF.

Please note: Only proposed orders may be submitted through the online portal. All other filings must be submitted using the standard process for each division.
